We closed on this property in October of 2020. While the smell and filth of this one were strong, it made me so excited to restore her to a place she could attract the perfect new buyers to love her. This flip was mainly cosmetic as the home was a solid build in the 1980s which meant that I could be hands on with this one. I had the pleasure of scraping the ceilings of this 3 bedroom 2.5 bath home as well as refinishing the stairs.
The downstairs entry was tricky. Upon entry, the door swung into the stairs, not fully opening. We enlarged 3 casings downstairs to help make the home flow better, make doors to swing fully open, and make the home feel larger.
The home was loud with its paint choices, so we calmed that down with neutral choices to appeal to the most buyers. We replaced the cabinetry in the kitchen and gutted the bathrooms. Additionally, we finished the flooring that had been started. Our planned worked! When the home hit the market on a Thursday, 50 showings were scheduled for the long weekend and we had 6 offers by Saturday!!
In order to fully appreciate this transformation, you can go back to watch the initial tour of the property here. We also have a highlight reel with more behind the scenes that can be accessed here.
